Books and Text Passages
Thousands of professionally leveled and culturally relevant books and passages (print and digital) incorporate social-emotional learning competencies, getting students excited about reading. Fiction books are professionally illustrated and nonfiction books incorporate eye-catching photographs to engage young readers in a variety of subjects. Thanks to a partnership with Fountas & Pinnell and Lexile.com, all books are professionally leveled, and new books and text passages are being added each month.
Lessons and Activities
Methodically structured lessons and activities strategically aligned to each book or text and are backed by research, saving teachers valuable time preparing for instruction. These consistent, comprehensive reading comprehension lessons can be taught in 15-20 minutes, are easily differentiated, and are based in best practices in literacy instruction.
Digital Interactive Reader
The engaging Digital Interactive Reader allows students to listen to books and passages, record themselves reading, and take quizzes, all of which is easily tracked in the student data tracking portal. The interactive digital reader enhances the reading experience of students and helps them with their decoding and comprehension skills.
Reporting Tools
Individual, class-wide, and milestone reports can be easily viewed and exported. The reporting tools allow teachers to track student fluency data benchmarks, student reading level benchmarks, number of minutes read, number of books read, number of books recorded, and quiz results.
Support Tools
Print and online resources for teachers, video tutorials, ongoing webinars, and a dedicated Facebook group for users are just a few ways the program provides additional support for teachers. Teachers will feel confident as they quickly and easily implement best practices in guided reading instruction.
